Garage Gym Fan
If you are looking for an amazing piece of kit for your garage gym, you've come to the right place. I was looking at this rig and another slim-gym rig, but decided to keep it local and go with this one. So far, it is great. It took about 5hrs to install - it actually takes the most amount of time to mount the stringers, everything else is fairly easy. I did it without any help, so if you have someone to give you a hand it would probably take less time.
Currently I did not secure the rig to the floor - since there are 4 posts connecting to the stringers/wall, as well as the rack weight it doesn't seem to move at all on the floor. If I start to feel or see the pylons move or shake, I'll secure them into the floor with some masonry anchors, but as of now there is no need.
I have a standard 2 car 20x20 garage, open rafters. I took a 10x10 area, put down some stall mats (bought those here at XTraining too (cheaper than TSC) and have a great space for squatting, power lifts, bench, pull-ups, jump rope, etc. The great thing about this rig is that it fits so close to the wall that I can still get 2 cars in the garage which was why I wanted this rig in the first place.
Great build quality, solid function, cool guys at the shop and very helpful. The only thing missing was 2 x nuts/bolts/washers for the pull-up bar but everything else was included in the bag of nuts/bolts.
Keep up the good work.
