It did have a bit of a smell to it when I took it out of the box, but I hung it in a tree in the backyard and by day 2 the smell was gone. There was a decent amount of shedding on the first 5-10 climbs but since then its pretty minimal (I primarily use it outside so its a bit hard to tell, but there isn't a bunch all over me like the first couple climbs). The heavy duty loop makes hanging it and taking it down (if you need to) a breeze and you can rest assured it is secured. A great price for a rope of this length and apparent strength. I did contact customer service because my tracking number was not showing any information, and they quickly responded even on a weekend so I have no doubt they would take care of you should there be any issues. Have bought from AF before and will again in the future. Thanks!
United StatesLearning rope climbs as a newbie, and this rope is perfect! Great quality/weight, can be used anywhere or attached without hardware. I use indoor in my garage. Only saw a little shedding out of the box for first two climbs. Nothing since, very durable, no splintering. I highly recommend this rope!!
